Why break the bank travelling abroad when there's adventure to be had right here in beautiful Snowdonia!
It's so peaceful here you can't even hear the credit crunch. The Tryweryn is a dam-controlled river with releases almost all year round and often have water even when other rivers are dry. So forget about airport queues, dicky tummies, the expensive euro and foreign diseases: 2009 is the year of the stay-cation!!!
It’s really rather gorgeous!
We’re rightly proud of our Tryweryn Trail, so if being wet doesn’t float your boat you could always take a walk on the wild-side through the beautiful woods that line the river. Mature mossy oak, delicate willow, polyoddy ferns (now you’re curious!), await your exploration.
Situated in the Snowdonia National Park, our nearest town of Bala caters for tourists all year round and can be reached easily from all major towns and cities. The area has an excellent and diverse range of accommodation, places to eat and attractions to suit all tastes. You can find some some useful links to accommodation providers here.
