Seasonal Duty Manager
Due to one of our full time staff leaving us to go on expedition; the National White Water Centre is recruiting a Seasonal Duty Manager to play an important part of the team for the day to day running of the centre through our core season.
Working under the supervision of the Operations Manager (Activities), you’ll be making sure that the activities of the centre, (rafting, canyoning and paddlesport) are staffed and that sessions go smoothly. If things don’t go quite to plan, occasionally you will be providing safety and first aid cover!
We’re offering £9,000 for a 6 month fixed term contract, starting on 1st June.
You need to be a minimum L1 raft guide at the Tryweryn, hold a current HSE First Aid at Work and have a current SRT 1 or WRT qualification.
If, in addition, you hold Advanced first aid, SRT A, SPA or D1+E for driving, then that’s a definite advantage.
During this period you’ll get 15 days holiday (that includes Bank Holiday entitlement) and your normal work rota will mean working 2 weekends in 3 and you may be expected to work Bank Holidays.
It can be frantic, but if you think you can do the job, we’d like to hear from you. We need to make this appointment quickly so we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.
In the first instance contact Duncan Eades (Operations Manager) for a Job Description and how to apply. Duncan@ukrafting.co.uk
Applications’ must be received by midnight, 22nd May 2012.
