It’s Really Rather Gorgeous

Tryweryn Trail riverside walkWe’re rightly proud of our Tryweryn Trail, so if being wet doesn’t float your boat why not take a stroll along our riverside walk. Mossy oak, delicate willow, polypody ferns (admit it, now you’re curious) await your exploration.

You may even decide to stop for a picnic at one of our many picnic sites dotted around the Centre. Most of the picnic areas are situated on the river bank so you can watch all the fun of the river while enjoying your butties!

Making A Meal Of It

Our on-site café is run by Claire and Diane, (famous locally for their baking) and is open whenever there is a water release. From home made soups to crisp fresh salads, veggie options to tempting just-baked cakes, there’s lots to sample!

Watch the action from outside the cafeThe café itself is fronted by a patio overlooking the river so there’s no need to choose between videoing the family or finishing your ice-cream!

Steamy Hot Showers

Since we are the longest established and largest rafting outfitter in the UK, we have been able to invest in specially built facilities that include extensive male and female changing rooms, free hot showers and coin return secure lockers.

Cool Pic's

Remember to smile on your trip down the river because you might get caught on camera! Cool Pic’s is run independently of The National White Water Centre by Gaele, and is operational most days. She specialises in action photos, printed immediately on site for you to take home as a memento of your adventure on the river!

Best attempts are made to catch a shot of every raft, but it’s a one woman operation so be sympathetic if Gaele misses you! If you know you would like an action photo of your day, see Gaele before your session starts, give her your raft number and the name of your guide and she will do her very best to catch you on camera!

Child Safety Initiative

Parents must be reminded that the river is fast flowing and potentially dangerous. Close supervision of our younger visitors is essential. Children’s buoyancy aids are available to hire at reception for a small returnable deposit.

Clients With Specific Requirements

The centre works closely with the organisation Design for Life, who specialise in creating opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors. We pride ourselves on our policy of inclusion not exclusion, so if you would like to discuss your specific needs please feel free to contact the centre to discuss you requirements.
